Dr. Jenifer R. Powers-Fruit (AuD) was a sister, wife, daughter, colleague, friend, and all-around (in her own words) “good egg”. She passed away in 2016, but her legacy lives on through this memorial fund, established by family and friends to promote an initiative that was near and dear to her heart - education.

In 2017, proceeds from the 1st Jen + Tonic Polo Event launched the Robotics program within the East Palestine School District. Jenifer credited the East Palestine School District with preparing her to continue her studies at the College of Wooster and then her post-graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh where she received a Doctorate in Audiology.  Upon the completion of her studies, she accepted a position at UPMC as a clinical audiologist while researching the link between hearing loss and dementia.
