Columbiana VEX Robotics Program Shines at World Championship

The Columbiana Middle School (CMS) Robotics team has once again made us proud with their outstanding performance at the VEXIQ Robotics World Championship in Dallas, TX. In their second year participating in the global competition, CMS Robotics teams showcased their skills, teamwork, and dedication. Team 1984 ranked 42 out of 84 teams in their Design division.

Under the guidance of coaches Justin Conrad and Ashlee Sherwood, the students collaborated with top middle school robotics teams from around the world, including Ethiopia, Shanghai, Chinese Taipei, London, Hong Kong, and the United Arab Emirates. The students demonstrated resilience and adaptability when faced with challenges, such as partnering teams experiencing robot breakdowns and disqualifications. We applaud Michael Conrad, Chase Dugas, Aiden Rosario, and Oliver Vennetti for their hard work and for representing Columbiana with distinction on the global stage.
